Before you register for a German course, please take the online placement test. The link is: https://www.hueber.de/menschen/einstufungstest. You will find the placement tests at different levels. If you are not sure of your level, start at A1.1. If you don't know any German, just register for the A1 level.
There is only one correct answer. Once you start guessing, you should stop. You can stop the test at any time. At the end of each task you will find the button End Test. Click on the button Send Result and you will receive an e-mail form with which you can automatically send your test result to your teacher, Frau Flechtker: flechtkorb@web.de by October 4th.
In this class, the A1, you will learn simple expressions and sentences. We speak basic German in a variety of daily life situations. In class, we speak a lot of German, but sometimes we switch to English (or Spanish or French) for explanations.
The topics and situations are easy and familiar: hello and good bye, to introduce oneself and others, how are you, shopping, food, meals, time, numbers, family, hobbies, living, orientation in town, clothes, weather, health, etc.
The grammar is elementary (for examples see above in the German version): verbs in present tense, separable verbs, articles (definite, indefinite, zero articles), plural forms, possessive articles, possessive pronouns, negation, adjectives, modal verbs, imperatives, accusative, local prepositions, prepositions with dative, prepositions with accusative, perfect (introduction), preterite of having and being, sentence questions (yes-no questions), W-questions, question particles, conjunctions, dative.
The course will take place online. There are fixed times for a virtual classroom and learning units for offline learning on the learning platform Moodle. The exam is a portfolio exam: throughout the semester you will write several texts (portfolio texts) on various topics.
Every week we'll meet onine in a virtual classroom on Wednesdays from 3:30 to 5 pm. The access you'll get within the Moodle platform after registration. |
