Prerequisites: This course is designed for beginners with basic knowledge of German, who have successfully completed the A1 level of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages or an equivalent. If unsure about your level, please take this Online Placement Test. There are tests at different levels. Take the test for the appropriate level. There is only one correct answer. Once you start guessing you should stop. You can stop the test at any time. At the end of each task you will find the button "End Test". Click on the button "Send Results" and you will receive an e-mail form with which you can automatically send your results to your instructor: (al-azzawi@ash-berlin.eu for A2 and B1 or flechtkorb@web.de for A1 and B2). If you don't know any German at all, just register for the A1-level.
Content: In this class you will expand your vocabulary and communicative skills on different topics, practice typical grammatical structures and learn useful collocations.
Method of Instruction: Classes will take place online. We will meet every Wednesday for about 90 minutes in a virtual classroom. (The link to the room and the exact meeting time will be put on Moodle / sent to you prior to the first class.) Apart from that you will have to spend about 90 minutes on asynchronous learning units / exercises that will be put on Moodle.
