Dancing in time of Corona virus
In India lately Transgenders performed Kolattam folk dance, a stick dance,
in slums to spread Covid awareness. So let`s dance! The mind is free when
the body is in motion. And that's what is needed in such trying times when
stress levels due to the Covid situation have hit the roof. Although we
mostly have to dance at home, you will find dance tutorials on Moodle so
you can practise the dances for yourself. Apart from that Indian stick
dance, I will introduce you to a couple of other European dances like
”Tarantella”, which is an Italian folk dance and ”Ikariotikos”, which is a
very popular Greek folk dance. So most of the time the seminar will be
asynchron but at least three times I would like to make excursions so we
will meet each other in the park on Tuesday between 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. to
dance together. |
