On occasion of International Holocaust Remembrance Day ASH Berlin invites you to

Paths of Remembrance
Dual Performance and Artist Talk with Adi Liraz and Seçkin Aydın

The event is curated by María do Mar Castro Varela and moderated by Vered Berman.

Adi Liraz is a Jewish-Israeli interdisciplinary and performance artist currently working between Berlin, Germany, and Ioannina, Greece. In her work, she negotiates the presence and function of memory and proposes ways of decolonising marginalised voices. Adi aims to remanufacture the concepts of home & belonging beyond the national, the hegemonic, and the patriarchal. Her work is a quest towards new understandings of feminist emancipation; while moving beyond white feminism and its supremacy, she reclaims domestic labour as a feminist everyday and artistic practice, and tries to unroot it from patriarchal genealogies.

Seçkin Aydın is a Kurdish artist, academic and curator who based in Berlin and Diyarbakır. He is the Founder and Director of Bat Art Lab (Diyarbakır, 2014) and Degrowth in Food & Fashion (Berlin, 2023). Aydın has BA, MA and Doctorate degrees in Fine Arts. He then studied  Sociology, Political Science, Cultural Anthropology and Interdisciplinary Program of Media, Culture and Urban Studies to broaden his intellectual and artistic perspective. Aydin held many solo exhibitions, participated in international biennials and symposiums, and curated exhibitions in Europe and the Middle East.
