Support from the gender equality officers

The most important part first: We are there for you!

The gender equality officers are there for all female* and trans* members of ASH Berlin and will provide advice on gender-specific questions and problems arising in administrative work, studies or teaching. 

Advice on work-related topics and university policies

For example, potential issues could be:

• Discrimination
• Bullying
• What is sexual harassment? What should I do if I feel I am being sexually harassed?
• Information on scholarships and programmes to promote women
• Combining work and studying with family life
Implementing academic and policy-related projects

Trans* advice

TRANS*? GENDERQUEER? NON-BINARY? Are you looking for exchange and advice for your own discussion? Do you need help and support in your everyday university life as a trans* person? Lecturers or fellow students ask you cross-border and/or trans*hostile questions? Or use the wrong pronoun? Do you experience exclusion, discrimination and/or violence?

Our consulting services are aimed at all students and university members of the ASH Berlin whose self-denomination is based on a trans* spectrum. How you describe yourself and whether one of the trans* terms is suitable for you at all is up to you. We only use trans* with an asterisk here as a placeholder for a variety of self-designation options. 

In addition to a personal consultation (after an individual appointment), we can also offer you the possibility of a consultation by telephone or e-mail. Our consultation is:
