1st Systematic Examination of the Life Situation of Homeless Persons

Abstract:

In cooperation with the Evangelischer Bundesfachverband Existenzsicherung und Teilhabe (EBET) e. V. the instrument "Living situation index homeless people" was developed. This took place in a participatory manner with the participation of homeless and formerly homeless people. The basis for this was the life situation approach. Subsequently, acutely homeless people were questioned about their living situation nationwide in selected institutions of the diaconal homeless and criminal assistance. For the life situation index, the different life situation areas were linked with one another. The results were presented and discussed for the first time at the EBET Congress in 2018 and since then in several specialist publications.

The second survey of the living situation index should be carried out in 2020. It had to be postponed until further notice due to the corona pandemic; current planning calls for a second survey in February 2021.
