Abstract:
In cooperation with the Evangelischer Bundesfachverband Existenzsicherung und Teilhabe (EBET) e. V. the instrument "Life Situation Index for Homeless People" was developed. This process was participatory, involving both homeless and formerly homeless individuals. It was based on the life situation approach. Following this, acutely homeless individuals were surveyed about their living situations in selected facilities of the diaconal homeless and delinquent welfare assistance across Germany. For the Life Situation Index, various aspects of living conditions were interconnected. The results were first presented at the EBET National Congress in 2018 and have since been discussed in multiple specialist publications.

The second survey of the Life Situation Index was scheduled for 2020 but had to be postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It was eventually conducted in September 2021.
