Simulation of an asylum procedure and critical discourse on the reform of the EU asylum system

The photo shows the fading lettering Welcome sprayed in orange on the street. Two feet can be seen at the bottom, as if the person is looking at the lettering.

As part of the project module "Human rights-oriented social work in the restrictive asylum system", the "Welcome to Germany" day of action will take place, during which a simulation of the asylum procedure process will be carried out. This simulation is intended to hold up a mirror to the host society and critically examine the current discourse on the reform of the EU asylum system towards an even more restrictive procedure.

All ASH Berlin member groups are cordially invited to take part in this simulation. There will be an opportunity to go through the procedural steps of an asylum procedure. Participation is voluntary and the organizers are also available to answer questions (even if, for example, active participation is not desired).

The day of action is intended to make a contribution to countering the further policy of isolation and to raise awareness among people who are not affected.

The module and project leader Prof. Dr. Heinz Stapf-Finé is available to answer questions in advance: stapf-fine@ avoid-unrequested-mailsash-berlin.eu
