Visions of a Decolonial University

Arbeitsbereich InPuT

Student movements like "Rhodes must fall" or "Why is my curriculum white?" question the eurocentric foundation of universities and the colonial epistemic violence linked to it.

Can universities be decolonized at all? Can universities become spaces where diverse knowledge and people are recognized and valued? What does such a university look like?

In this workshop we want to discuss with you about possible visions for decolonizing universities. Come with your questions, come with your ideas and let us feel-think decolonially!

The workshop will be conducted by Aki Krishnamurthy from „EmpA - Empowerment and Antiracism“ project. Please register at frauenbeauftragte@ avoid-unrequested-mailsash-berlin.eu.The workshop is for BIPoc (Black Indigenous, People of Colour) only.

The workshop is part of the educational program of the Intersectional Practice and Transformation (InPuT) workspace. You can find more workshops here.
