Lilian Franck reports on her path to a doctorate, including the search for supervisors, countless exposé drafts, and the search for funding opportunities. She also provides insights into her current research process, which aims to use qualitative interviews to gain knowledge about knowledge content and formats that women and marginalized genders find conducive to their sexual well-being.
The research area Intersectional Practice and Transformation (InPuT) at ASH Berlin, in cooperation with the PhD Workshop, invites you to a (digital) lunch break in the summer semester of 2023. Together with PhD students of the university, the event series "(In)visible Processes - PhD and Practice" PhD topics in the fields of gender justice and equality, diversity and anti-discrimination, anti-Semitism, anti-racism and migration, inclusion and strengthening of human rights will be presented and space for discussion and follow-up questions will be opened.
In the informal setting of a lunch talk, doctoral projects, interim findings and processes of academic work at ASH Berlin will be made visible. In this way, the possibility of doing a doctorate as a possible step for students from universities of applied sciences becomes tangible and young scientists are promoted. The connection with focal points of the research area InPuT enables a cross-university insight into these topics and explicitly addresses ALL members of the university.
The events will be held in German. If necessary, an English whispered translation will be provided for the face-to-face events. For the digital events, there will be a joint "public viewing" at the university. Please send your questions and suggestions to input@ash-berlin.eu
