The first five Bachelor's degree courses in early childhood education were created in 2004 - after 20 years, there are now 76 across Germany, with 14 Master's degree courses offering further qualifications. An important occasion to take stock together with numerous stakeholders. For this reason, ASH Berlin, in cooperation with the Studiengangstag Pädagogik der Kindheit, the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Erziehungswissenschaft, the Deutscher Berufsverband für Kindheitspädagogik e.V. (DeBeKi) and the Bundesarbeitsgemeinschaft Bildung und Erziehung in der Kindheit e.V. are organizing the anniversary conference "20 Jahre Kindheitspädagogische Studiengänge".
The conference will focus on the development paths, current requirements and topics as well as the perspectives of academic qualifications for pedagogical work with children and families. The links between research, teaching and professional practice play an important role here.
The establishment of childhood education degree courses was and is a complex project at various levels. This is also reflected in the concept of the conference. The Studiengangstag Pädagogik der Kindheit, the Bundesarbeitsgemeinschaft Bildung und Erziehung in der Kindheit e.V., the Kommission Pädagogik der frühen Kindheit der DGfE (PdfK) and the Deutsche Berufsverband für Kindheitspädagogik e.V. as well as several supporters were involved in the cooperative preparation and contributed their diverse perspectives.
The hybrid conference is aimed at childhood education practitioners, educational policy actors, graduates, students, specialists/teachers working in training and further education, university representatives and all interested parties.
