The Progressive Flag and the Trans*Pride Flag have been flying in front of ASH Berlin since today. At 12 noon, our Women's* and Gender Equality Officer Nina Lawrenz, ASH Chancellor Jana Einsporn, the Queer Representative in the district of Marzahn-Hellersdorf, Vanessa Krah, the District Councillor for Social Affairs and Citizen Services in Marzahn-Hellersdorf, Juliane Witt and other district politicians raised the two flags in front of our university and then in front of Hellersdorf Town Hall.
Especially in times of growing right-wing populism and increasing verbal and physical violence against queer and trans, inter and non-binary people, it is all the more important to stand up together for the rights of queer people worldwide and in our district of Marzahn-Hellersdorf.
