As of today, the exhibition of the alliance "Gemeinsam gegen Sexismus" can be viewed in the open space in front of the ASH Berlin Audimax. The exhibition, which will be on display at ASH Berlin until 24.10.2024, offers vivid opportunities to deepen knowledge and reflect on one's own behavior. The exhibition focuses on everyday sexism, sexism in the workplace, in public spaces and in culture and the media. It also offers tips and effective measures against sexism and deals with the topic of intersectionality.
Unequal treatment based on gender is part of everyday life for many people. As a university for social work, health, education and training, standing up for social justice and against discrimination is a central element of the university's mission statement. "We are particularly pleased to make the exhibition accessible to new students at the start of the semester and thus enable a low-threshold examination of the topic," says Peps Gutsche, consultant in the "positioned and visible" project to develop a protection concept at ASH Berlin. In June 2024, ASH Berlin joined the nationwide "Alliance against Sexism" , which is supported by more than 680 alliance partners.
Alice Salomon Hochschule Berlin is committed to respectful, fair, difference-sensitive and appreciative interaction between all members of the university.
