International ASH Berlin receives approval for the FIT application from the German Academic Exchange Service

FIT stands for "Promotion of international talent for integration into studies and the job market". The funding amount is around 1.13 million euros.

ASH Berlin is delighted to be the only HAW in Berlin to have received approval for the FIT application from the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD). FIT stands for the "Promotion of international talent for integration into studies and the labor market". The funding period is 5 years (from 01.04.2024 to 31.12.2028), the funding amount is ~ 1.13 million euros. We would also like to congratulate our colleagues at Freie Universität, Technische Universität, Humboldt Universität and Universität der Künste for their funding approval in the program.

With its profile and its degree programs, ASH Berlin aims to make a significant contribution to the recruitment, admission, inclusion and support of international and refugee prospective students through a holistic and needs-oriented overall concept and to support students from study preparation and admission to graduation and successful transition into professional practice.

Not least due to declining numbers of students and skilled workers, the recruitment of refugees and international students is recognized as a central task for the future of the university and for the recruitment of skilled workers in the SAGE professions in Germany. The DAAD's funding under the FIT funding line brings ASH Berlin a significant step closer to achieving this goal.

If you have any questions about the program and the next steps, please contact Irene Gropp (Head of the International Office) and Silvia Ben Mahrez (Department of Discrimination-Critical Opening of the University and Promotion of Educational Biographies).
